The integrated system, the collaborators said, includes a single sign-on gradebook, improved workflows, and Web services to enable instructors to find and access MyLab/Mastering. This includes personalized study paths, customizable content, responsive learning tools, and real-time evaluation and diagnostics in Blackboard Learn, the two companies said. As a result of the integrated system, faculty will have the ability to transfer grade information to the Blackboard Learn gradebook and create direct links from MyLab/Mastering programs, as well as to customize their courses by choosing resoources and rearranging items in the content area and course navigation bars.

According to the two companies, nearly 2,000 institutions have adopted Blackboard's flagship learning management platform Blackboard Learn, Release 9.1 to take advantage of its stability and "greater workflow efficiencies" that use open APIs and standards-based interoperability for a wide range of integrations of resources and tools.
